-Heaven-

       After a while I went to my mother's village to see my grandparents. We stayed there three days. My mother's village is Wellawa.

It is situated in Kurunegala. My grandmother is 75 years old and my grandfather is 84 years old.

 

                                                                                  My mother's village is a really calm and beautiful village. Village houses are located around the paddy field.

The village as well as the people are very friendly. That is why I love this village so much. Going to the village means those days are like the new year. There are lot of relatives and cousins brothers and sisters in there. Most of them are still young. Spending time with them is a really fun. They are very tricky. They are also very good at picking mangoes from trees😁. 

           These days mango trees in here are full of mangoes. Those tricky lads picked some mangoes and we made pickles. Lots of fun stories from each others. Unknowingly we finished pickles.

           Another day began. That morning my grandmother made plain hoppers and egg hoppers for us to eat.

 

            That evening we went to play volleyball in a muddy area at the corner of paddy field. We came home late at night. Our whole body was covered in mud. At that time our mother was severely reprimanded. But we had a lot of fun that day.

            The third day dawned. It has been raining heavily since morning. So that day very cold. House is located at edge of the paddy field, because of that cold and wind feels very much. But when it rains, the village is beautiful and foggy in the morning.

   

           We thought go to bathe in canal in the evening but we could not go there because of rain. It rained heavily at night. So, we played carrom. 

               

              At that time our grandmother made veg/plain roti, and spicy kochchi sambaru for all of us. And also my mother brought us plain tea. Any dish my grandmother makes is like a divine meal.

                That night we sang with family members. We all spent the night having fun talking about things that happened before and reminiscing about the past. We all slept on a mat in the middle of living room.

               Those experiences are so beautiful. So, this is how those days went by. The days passed quickly, but a lot of memories were collected. I was really sad when I goodbye to them, but I made-up my mind to go there again.
