 Everyone has a favorite singer according to their taste. He or she can be local or foreign. But music is a universal language. So, my favorite singer is Saman Lenin. He is a singer as well as a music director. He is one of the most popular folk singer. He can also be described as a new turning point in the history of Sri Lankan music. He was graduate of the University of the visual and performing art and he is currently a lecture at the same University. The depth of his voice and the expression of his emotions are very evocative. That is why he easily manages to captivate the listeners. Among his songs are Nomile dun nisa, Ape peduren midi, Adu kule devi, Garunda muhurthaya theme song, Sithvini goyama, appachchiye, and amude 1,2  are very popular. He is not only a singer but also an actor at some time. So he is a character that catches everyone's attention today.
